Division 20 Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) Paramedic Scholarship Program/Triton College Foundation

Scholarship Amount: $1250.00

Scholarship Background: The Division 20 Associated Fire Fighters of Illinois (AFFI) Scholarship Program/Triton College Foundation was created one year ago by the Schiller Park Firefighters Local 5230. The purpose of this program is to help provide some financial aid to those interested in getting to the fire and EMS service. Over the last few years, there have been fewer and fewer students applying to achieve their EMT Basic and EMT Paramedic licenses due to increasing tuition fees. Currently, there are five AFFI unions funding these scholarships. Those five unions are: Schiller Park Firefighters Local 5230, Franklin Park Firefighters Local 1526, Norwood Park Firefighters Local 4210, Westchester Firefighters Union Local 4851 and Leyden Local 4329.
