Triton College Faculty Association - John Boyle Memorial Scholarship/Triton College Foundation
SCHOLARSHIP AMOUNT: Up to $500 for tuition and books.
BACKGROUND: The John Boyle Memorial Scholarship was established by the Faculty Association in 1994 and is funded annually through the generous support of the Cook County College Teachers Union Local #1600. It is named in honor of former Triton College Faculty member, John Boyle, who taught English and developmental reading for 24 years. During his tenure at Triton, Boyle served as the president of the Triton College Faculty Association.
REQUIREMENTS:
• Full-time continuing student
• GPA of 3.0 or above
• Completed at least 3 credit hours in developmental education in English and or Math
• An essay is required – see topic below
• The application must include a letter of recommendation by a Triton College Faculty member
This scholarship will begin accepting applications on January 1st. Please mark your calendars to apply during the specified application period.
